We’re the first to tell you that surgery should be your last option.

Announcing expanded nonsurgical spine treatments.

As the region’s leading spine center, a conservative approach sets us apart. The fact is, most spine problems are successfully treated non-surgically. That’s why we’re pleased to introduce Dr. Hayley White and Dr. Luke Robinson. Along with Dr. Keith Anderson, they provide expert nonsurgical care as well as physician directed therapy. If you ever need surgery, Spine & Neuro offers the advantage of skilled neurosurgeons — the only specialists who can treat the entire spine. But nonsurgical care is your first line of defense for lasting relief.

Our unified approach to rehabilitation ensures a central point of treatment and consistent commitment regarding our patient’s care.

Spine & Neuro offers treatments in all spinal and musculoskeletal disorders, including the following:

Industrial Rehab

We take the lead in providing quality, cost-effective case resolution for our workers comp community. When appropriate, a conservative care approach is taken to avoid surgical options. On many occasions our physical therapists are able to keep people out of surgery and accomplish a timely and safe return to work. In the event that a surgical approach is the only option, post–operative care is designed to provide the patient with a thorough and effective rehab outcome to ensure a full return to work is achieved. In many circumstances after a surgery, an FCE and/or an impairment rating is performed by highly-experienced clinicians and physicians. This step identifies any restrictions that the worker may be left with and allows for full resolution of the case with scientific data to accompany any outcomes.

Spine Rehab

Research tells us that 85% of the population will have at least one episode of severe neck or back pain during their lives. A spine specific physical therapy program, designed to alleviate and prevent pain, can help to decrease that percentage. At Comprehensive Rehab a patient will be thoroughly evaluated based on the referring spinal diagnosis. A tailored program will be initiated based on the particular dysfunction and symptoms that are present. A closely monitored conservative approach will be followed to ensure the proper progression to more intense levels of spine physical therapy.

Spine & Neuro is the only provider in North Alabama to offer the new breakthrough non-surgical decompression treatment of the 3-D Active Trac.

Spine in Sports

Golf, baseball, tennis, wrestling, football and gymnastics are sports that require intense levels of spinal rotation and core strength. These sports require specific training to ensure the athlete’s spine is protected and prepared for their sport.

We also offer a golf program that increases flexibility and strength to swing more freely lessening stress to the spine.
